We purchased this Road Trip after having a horrible experience with a grill from Cabelas. That grill had the lava rocks that moved every time you moved the grill and besides that the legs fell off. We were looking for something that would have fold under legs and no rocks. The Road Trip saved our camping days. We purchased a bag for it, keep it stored in the belly of the camper and with putting water in the tray below the burners, it is very very easy to clean up. You can place this on the picnic table to cook on or use the fold down legs. We have also discovered that this is the best way to cook grilled onions and potatoes or pork chops or chicken, etc on the griddle. Very very convenient and easy clean up. This truly is the perfect grill for the RV. Before buying, I researched everything from the Weber Q (good, not perfect), to the Themos Grill2Go (not really a grill).

Before it came, I was thinking that my high expectations from all these glowing reviews would cause me to not like it as much, but it's even better than some of these reviews! It's very portable, and folds up to a small size. And cooking on it is very easy, as well as just as important, clean up. If you get one, I recommend you also order a second grill grate to replace the griddle sometimes. (It comes with 1 of each). Griddle is great for eggs, grilling onions, etc., but it's nice to have the maximum space to grill hamburgers and hotdogs for the parties.

Finally, this blue model is the best of the three Coleman Road Trip Grills, too. Even though there are some with additional letters, this one has heavier duty grates than the other two, and a better stand system (in my opinion).

This grill replaced our old gas grill at home. In four years I've went through 4 grills to rust that occurs naturally here, just by a metal object being outside. I wanted a solution to finally eliminate that problem. This fits the bill with the fold up capability, and the storage bag to keep it fresh. You're still cooking over an open flame with the grill plate.

It comes with a griddle and a grill, each covering half of the cooking area, and I've obtained a 20-lb tank attachment, and an extra grill, for the big jobs. Try this feature out: the grill, griddle, and drip trays are washable in the dishwasher.... I can't say that about my old grills.

I got these for a gift in 2009. The first pair I got was the black and orange ones. During that first winter they kept my feet warm and dry for hours out in the snow and cold. When season 2 came around, the batteries would not take a charge. I called Columbia support and they walked me through a couple of things to do. None of which resolved the issue. They told me to send them in and if it was something that could be fixed, that they would fix it. Otherwise they would send me a different pair. A week or two after I sent them in, I received a new pair of these, free of charge. I charged them and they worked great through the second year. Now with the winter coming fast, I had the opportunity to "test" them for this season and they are working great. We were outside in about 30 degree weather and I didn't even have to turn them on. I am very pleased with this grill. When I'm done cooking I always dread the clean up; BUT as I sullenly stood at the sink and began the dreaded task, I was pleasantly surprised that clean up was a snap! It only took me a minute or two to have the thing looking like new! I walked away from the sink with a big smile!!! It is a good size...For my first meal I cooked steak and potatoes for 3, and there was plenty of room for more! I have only used this thing outside; but from what I have observed, let me suggest that if you use it inside, place it on your stove top and turn on the exhaust fan because it does give off a bit of smoke and there is some spattering which I am sure could leave some not so desirable after effects indoors. My only other minor complaint would be that there is no steam vent on the lid, so when you lift it be careful because it did have quite a bit of run off. I bought this to replace my 5 year old George Foreman Indoor/Outdoor Grill that just simply was used to death, and I loved it. This one is fine, but it is smaller than the original one (my first clue should have been the reduced price) and it is a bit harder to remove the grill plate to clean it. It has a clip underneath, for safety I suppose, but I find it awkward to remove. I really like the new one, too, but I am not happy it is so much smaller. It does fit into my sink for cleaning better than my old one since it is smaller. Just a warning if you are looking to replace the original model and want the same size, order GGR50B, not this one.

We live in a condo complex on a second floor with a large balcony. We are only allowed to have an Electric Grill. After reading many of the other reviews for the other Electric Grills, I choose Meco because I did consumer research.

Having the Grill this summer was a great gift. Food tastes wonderful, doesn't take up too much space, has 2 fold out flaps to store food and such. Heats up quickly, easy temperatures gauge.

As for cleaning, take the metal rack and rinse with ease. If cleaned quickly after use, like any pot or pan with hot water, stays completely perfect. If not grill residue does build up in the electric area that gives you the heat to grill, and if you wait to long to clean you will smell the burning of the old excess drippings. (I clean immediate without any issue - the fiance although did not...)

The design of this grill leaves something to be desired. It is difficult to clean and the drip tray is a little aluminum loaf pan that is hard to insert into the holder without mangling it.
The electric burner has an aluminum pan under it which catches all the juices, grease, etc., which causes it to smoke heavily.
The rotissery works pretty good. My last one was a CharBroil and it was far superior to this one.

We've enjoyed this grill for over a year and it works very well. We don't have a gas hookup on our balconey since we live in an older high-rise condo building, so we are forced to have electric. This grill is the best of all of them. We've had two Char-Broil grills and both pathetically died after a year. We also tried an electric grill from Home Depot that annoyingly never held a constant temperature. This grill is still going strong and we expect it to for years to come. The hinged door is a must as well as the wooden racks which are not offered with any of the other electric grills. This is our forth electric grill and by far the best.

This is a really great grill. It cooks evenly and the last one we had lasted many years. The only problem we had seems to be related to the manufacturer's packaging. It's hard to know when the damage occurred (shipping, packing, manufacture, etc.), but the first two grills I received had significant cracks in the shell. We bought this gas grill with one thought in mind...grilling steaks..It's performed very well. Grilling other meats like chicken breasts, burgers, and hotdogs was done easily. It does take a while for the grill to get up to speed heat wise, but it's worth waiting..the hotter the better for steaks. One thing laking was a top rack which could hold food about the cooking grate to keep warm....We found that connecting the grill with a larger propane take seemed to work best

i'll start this review by saying I have sold grills for years and am a huge fan of the big guns such as Weber. Sadly do to living in a condo i can only have electric grills. In the past Char-Broil has made some sub-par items. Not this time. This is THE best electric grill option for under five hundred bucks. the people bashing it have obviously never grilled or assembled somthing as much as legos.

1- ITS EASY TO PUT TOGETHER- All these people on here complain as to how hard it is to put together. WHY? It took me a bit over an hour and a half working slowly and I didnt even curse once. Thats a miracles in and of it self. Simple tools, easy instructions, and not a ton of steps. There is a bit of lining up holes at one point but thats it. If you even have the slightest ability to put things together you'll be fine. Putting together Ikea furniture is WAY harder than this.

The Bottom Line: 3 Stars and Rising.

The Patio Bistro does its intended purpose. I like this grill the more I use it. It gets, hot, is easy to clean, and has a nice large cooking area. With time my rating may improve as the painfull memory of assebly fades into the past. This would be a nice choice for use where charcoal and propane grills are not allowed.

As of this writing I have owned the Patio Bistro Grill for a little over 1 month. I own and have used various charcoal and gas grills, smokers, and barbeques over the past 30 years. I consider myself as very experienced in outdoor grilling.

My grill worked perfectly the first time it was put together, although it does take longer to put together than the optimistic instructions state.

Pros: Great for small areas, rolls around easily in case you want to store in garage instead of outdoors, creates those great "grill marks" on your food that makes the grilling more realistic (after all, cooking with electricity outside isn't really BBQ'ing, is it?). Temperature gauge on top tells you how hot things are getting inside.

Cons: Somewhat short electric cord so you either need a good extension cable, or to be a little closer to the house than I like.

I've only used it once so I don't have experience with the cleanup process yet.

Grilling really can't get much easier than this. After assembling the grill (which takes only a few minutes), simply plug it in and allow about 10 minutes to fully preheat the surface while you gather your steaks, kebabs, or whatever's to be grilled. The electric heat has an adjustable range from low (for keeping food warm) to high (for searing steaks). The nonstick grill surface not only means you can use a minimum of added fat, but it also makes cleanup a cinch. The surface has a subtle slope, with channels that draw accumulated fat or other liquids into a tray just below the surface. The high domed and vented lid helps create a circular flow of hot air to ensure even cooking--particularly important for a large roast or whole chicken.

The grill can be placed either directly on a tabletop or atop its pedestal. Before I get into this review, we have to understand the product we are looking at: a George Foreman ELECTRIC grill. George Foreman products are essentially useful variations of hotplates. In this case, the hot plate takes the form of a grill (with a stand, a dome cover, a large cooking surface with raised grooves etc...).

That being said, this product caters to people (me) willing to try a product that is not a traditional charcoal grill, could be useful in smaller spaces/porches, looks like it is easy to use and clean up, could potentially cut some fat (never hurts, right?), and seems like it will work well as a good back-up grill or a quick solution to throwing mini-bbqs requiring even heat distribution without the hassle of buying/lighting/dumping coal. Originally I saw my mother's George Forman grill (smaller indoor one with lid). Then I saw my brother's Party Size grill. Both of them love their grill. I was able to taste the food from both and found it very tasty and easy to use. I decided to do some investigating on my own intending to purchase the party size grill, when I saw the indoor/outdoor grill. I was impressed with the fact that it appeared to be a bigger cooking surface and the price I found was within reason. I purchased it for the purpose of using it as an extra grill for a cookout I was having. No one used the gas grill at all. I bought this grill 4 months ago and have used it several times per week ever since. I am a very lazy cook with 3 hungry teens and a hubby who eats like he's a heavyweight boxer. So, I needed something that would cook and clean-up as easily as possible. I can turn on the grill (it has an adjustable thermostat), take out a package of frozen chicken, hamburger patties, whatever, prepare it as usual, and the grill is ready to go to work. Dinner is on the table in no time. Its non-stick surface is just that, making clean-up simple and quick.
I am quite happy with the surface area, as I can easily fit 8 large burgers on at once. I live in the frozen north, so the fact that this grill will also work indoors is plus.
It's portable, reliable, easy to use and clean, and a bargain compared to other outdoor grills.
George put his name on a very good product.
Update: I have owned this grill for 2 1/2 years now and it still works like new!

I have this grill it worked fine we took it camping it stored easy in camper only problem is the drip pan/flame deflector rusted out real fast without it is is basically un-usable the burner is about rusted out and when I contacted the manufacturer and they say no parts are available for it I cleaned it each use and it still rusted out inferior metal on driop pan and burner

I've had my grill for about a year now and everytime I use it, the food comes out great! It cooks evenly and very compact. It was an ease to put it together and cleaning is a breeze. Always good for camping, and if you want to girll something quick. The handle on mine is a little loose and I can't tighten the screw anymore but it's not that big of an issue.

Great cookbook with some creative and unusual recipes. The Pork Loin with Cider-Molasses Sauce was a big hit with the family. We'll be referring to this one regularly as we break in our George Foreman Grill. Only wish there was more nutritional information included BUT it isn't intended to be a low fat or low calorie cookbook. Most recipes aren't heavy though and those that are appear to look as if they can easily trimmed down a bit.

When I purchased this book on impulse at a remainders store, I didn't realize how nice it really was. The cheerful yellow pages are inviting and the foods are nicely photographed, though not every recipe has a photo.

I bought a universal grill that had absolutely no information on how to use it except for making panini, and this book told me everything I needed to know to do basic grilling and then some.

The book is divided into chapters on grilling various foods (poultry, beef, seafood, vegetables and vegetarian entrees, etc.) plus a chapter on sauces, rubs and marinades, and another on side dishes and accompaniments. And there's even one on desserts, which I wouldn't have thought of finding in a grilling book. The butter-rum grilled bananas sound pretty good!

Useful for those who have either grill pans or electric two-sided grills, the book explains how to use both with each recipe. Unfortunately, this book appears to be close to being out of print.
